trade policy

Look through my trade gallery for anything you might want, then my wish list for anything you might have to offer me.  Or browse my collection and wish list for an idea of what I might be interested in and offer something NOT on my wish list ^_^  (the chart on the wishlist intro page may help).  I am very open to shitajiki to non-shitajiki goods trading but mostly restricted to items I've listed on my wishlist intro page.

SELLING TRADE BOARDS
A common question.  The answer is yes, but for the right price.  In other words, be prepared to offer more than the "going" price.  That means, don't ask to buy a trade board if you're looking for a good deal.  You'll have better luck negotiating prices for my sales items.

>> HOW TO KNOW HOW MUCH A BOARD IS WORTH?
Unfortunately, there's no standard for this.  Lots of people use david of mangasearch as a benchmark of sorts, but that only works for items he has, or recently had, in stock.  Otherwise, it pretty much has to do with rarity and popularity.  Common or recent promo boards can be had for < $10.  But if an item commands rarity and popularity, collectors will be willing to pay anywhere from $50 to over $100 for it.  If you really have no clue what a board might be worth, ask around first.  If you are a deal seeker, you can get lucky b/c the nature of auctions or quick sales gives opportunity to snag a desirable and/or rare board for a great price; just be patient and watchful.

The uncertain part of a trade is the worth of a particular board, because that involves numerous factors, some intangible. These may include age, type of board (regular vs promo vs doujin, etc), rarity, general level of interest/desirability, condition, and the most intangible of all: how much the people in negotiation value it. Also, trades are not limited to one for one exchanges (ie can be two for one, etc).  So .. the most likely reason a trade may not work out will be because of differing opinions on what boards constitute a reasonably even exchange.  Please keep this mind with any offer because a trade that seems perfectly reasonable to you may not be to the other person.

At any rate, if you want to trade, E-MAIL ME with questions or offers.
