Welcome to my shitajiki collection

Shitajiki (or pencil boards) are stationary items, usually a 7" x 10" piece of plastic with an image.  Their intended use is to be placed beneath a sheet of paper to provide a smooth writing surface.  Their relative durability, lower cost (as compared to say, cels), and huge diversity of artwork also makes them wonderful collectibles.  I first encountered shitajiki while searching for character merchandise for the series Hunter X Hunter.  By late summer 2003, I was seriously hooked ^^;

Fourteen new boards added.  Favorite is the k-books tohru adumi. Nineteen new boards added.  Favorites are an fma doujin, kino, and k-books (horns ...). Thirteen new boards added.  Lots of wings boards.  Favorite is the cute one piece doujin. Sixteen new boards added.  Without the intention, this update was heavily male-dominated.  Many favorites: two k-books, chrome shelled regios, and gundam seed doujin.
