Welcome to my shitajiki collection

Shitajiki (or pencil boards) are stationary items, usually a 7" x 10" piece of plastic with an image.  Their intended use is to be placed beneath a sheet of paper to provide a smooth writing surface.  Their relative durability, lower cost (as compared to say, cels), and huge diversity of artwork also makes them wonderful collectibles.  I first encountered shitajiki while searching for character merchandise for the series Hunter X Hunter.  By late summer 2003, I was seriously hooked ^^;

11.07.2009 08.02.2009 03.14.2009 01.16.2009	Twenty-three new boards added.  Many favorites this time, including the shimeko, keiichi sumi, tinkerbell alice, and adumi k-books. Twenty new boards added, many months since last update, too much to do.  Favorite by far is the olympos zennin.  Many of the comic zero-sum ward zennin are pretty nice, but only have two so far. Thirteen new boards added, including the few obtained from comiket 75.  Favorite is the new adashino board for gintama. Fourteen new boards added.  Favorite is the k-books tohru adumi.
