what I love most about this image is how strikingly the two people contrast against the background, small relative to the entire image but drawing the eye. the artwork is sharp, detailed, and well-done for the two, while the background has a soft, blurred look courtesy of watercolors. I also like how the girl gazes off into something unseen, while the man looks straight at you.
I've wanted this board very much a few years, after seeing a couple of copies go on YJ, and letting them go b/c I wasn't sure what it was. perfect example of an instance that I regretted not bidding, but luckily got a copy through a great trade. one of my favorite board acquisitions for 2007, and at least a top 15 or 20 favorite (I have way too many boards I like ...).
