how to describe a range murata artbook? .. more than any other artbook I've seen, it IS like an artwork unto itself. housed in a gorgeous slipcase (pictured left), the artbook is actually held together as a binder (the third binder artbook he's issued).
the interior functions like a portfolio. artwork is primarily featured on heavy, poster cardstock, but also thinner pages, foldout larger images, magazine style catalog of merchandise (including the pinky st. line), a pocket file with a poster filled with sketches, and two glossy-cover booklets. almost everything is in full color, with b&w sketches here and there.
this was expensive, but well worth it. it really has to be seen to be believed. I never even got started on how incredible his artwork is, detailed, expressive, and just plain cool. if only it were more affordable to collect his artbooks ^^
